Need Help With A Pump

Hey again :)

Recently made a post asking for help with a new case I am looking to get.

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/295212-nzxt-h440-resivour-issue/

Basically I am getting a new case because I currently have a Zalman Z9.. which doesn't fit a radiator inside.. so I have had to mount it onto the back of the case on the outside.. and saw yes saw part of the side panel off so it will close...

So naturally I would like something that will actually fit radiators on the inside.

I have seen the H440. I love the H440 and that is what I am getting.. It would be easier and cheaper to get a different case but this is the one I want... BUT because I am getting this case then I need to get rid of my old Res/Pump Combo because it is the type that slots into 2 5.23" bays, and the H440 has exactly zero 5.25 bays.

Now I need a new pump & res...

This is what I was looking at...

Pump - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-103-EK

Res - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-191-AQ

Why.. because it is cheap lol

I have been told that...

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-272-XS&groupid=962&catid=2133&subcat=1845

Is by far a much much much better option, But it is over double the price of the other ones and is a little more than I wanted to spend.

It is only to cool a CPU.. No graphic cards and it is only going through a 240mm rad... well I already have a 120mm and am getting a 240 from a friend so will probably use both even though i know I don;t need to.

So only CPU & 1x 240mm & 1x 120mm

Do I really need the D5??

All I want is it to be quiet and cheap... I know the more I spend the more quiet it will be, but would the first two options be okay or would they be a little on the loud side?

Not making the order until Sunday so I have some time to decide.

Thanks

A D5 pump with some Jerry rigged anti-vibration mounts and maybe a good pump top upgrade in the future will allow you both have a quiet system as well as an easily expandable water cooling loop

Hi there. Move along, n0thing to see here.

Hey again

D5 is prolly the most popular for multi block usage along with its smaller brother the DDC.

the DDC is small and compact, but needs ample air cooling to let it survive. use the optional

heat sink to help aid in the cooling for the pump. the D5 uses the coolant it pumps to cool

its needs.

for a CPU only loop, there are less expensive choices, but you'd need to evaluate your

future plans and build towards those, rather than paying for parts twice (used parts have no

resale value).

might look into one of these:

combines the tube reservoir and D5 more options:

Oh I didn't realise that the smaller pump would need more air supply.. I'm already a little worried about air supply as there is only a limited amount of vents on the H440 and am sure the fans are going to be a little starved.

Guess I will pay a little more and get the D5.

Thank you I was just about to order the DCP 2.2 you saved me wasting more money
