Glide Gear sliders?

I have been looking for a decent camera slider that doesn't cost >$300 for a while now and I found Blunty3000's review on GlideGear DEV-1000.

He seems pretty positive about it and the comments section isn't full of "THIS IS SHIT". Has anyone had experience with these? If so are they any good or am I just wasting my time?

$89 for the DEV-1000 or $99 for the DEV-33. If so, whats the difference?

pc specs: 4 function calculator / 8 digit lcd display / colored numeric and function buttons

its very meh, a decent budget offering but honestly its not amazing

I am using a koolertron one (basically the same thing though even cheaper) and it uses the same friction system, but honestly you want ball bearing or belt driven for utter smoothness,

that said, for the cost, its not a bad thing, and will get some decent results with some practice and patience

you should make one using some 8020 1020 aluminum stock. You can get a nice linear bearing for it and you have VERY good slider for less than $100.

Case: Phanteks Evolve X with ITX mount  cpu: Ryzen 3900X 4.35ghz all cores Motherboard: MSI X570 Unify gpu: EVGA 1070 SC  psu: Phanteks revolt x 1200W Memory: 64GB Kingston Hyper X oc'd to 3600mhz ssd: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB ITX System CPU: 4670k  Motherboard: some cheap asus h87 Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz

$1400 for just the slider!

I wouldn't be surprised if its not any better than the regular $600 PocketDolly :P. It's probably light as hell though because of the carbon fiber.

It is the same results just lighter like you said. So your paying $800 for less weight..
