Should I wait for the GTX 960M?

960Ms should be out soonish, month or two at most. If you want to wait that long go for it, you're not going to miss out on a lot of performance.

there are other thin gaming laptops worth looking at too if acer do not update their models

I would say the 960m would MOSTLY improve temps and wattage but will still be a bit better.

Should I wait then? I can wait for 2 months max, so if it won't be out by then I might as well buy a laptop now. Also I read that only the 970 and 980M will be released in the near future and the 860M will continue as a mid range part. Is that true?

Acer aspire already has a gtx 960m with 4gb vram out

For 1300! Its out since 2 weeks

I bought it yesterday. The battery is ok. Its not the greatest. But its a perfect gaming laptop for its price. A 1300 euro laptop which would normally cost near 2000.

How many hours are you getting with web browsing/text editing?
