This has couple of rebates so I dunno if that is okay, but upgrade path is very open.

"He Will be upgrading in the future, things like hard drive, cpu, gpu, ram, etc." the FX-6300 is a solid CPU for this kind of build. He can upgrade to an i5 or an i7 in the future when it's needed. And a dual core in a gaming computer is a no-no, seeing that some games don't even work with a dual core nowadays.

okay you have no clue. i3 is not dual core to games. fx 6300 is bad because you literally have to switch platforms. and i3 outperforms fx6300 in every single game. not kidding, every single one.

An i3 is a dual-core. Hyperthreading allows it to have 2 extra virtual cores, but it's not the same. Games are getting core-hungry. Anyways, here's a better build for $600.

Little over budget but the extra $35 is by far worth it.

The i3 will have trouble in newer games as they take more cores. Also, the i5 will do just about anything a lot better. It's a lot more stable and powerful if you counted more than just framerate. Also, you don't have to be so rude. We're trying to help you. Also, I didn't see that you lived in Canada when I was reading. I read the post a little bit earlier and came back to it. I'll update the build.

no it won't. are you just spewing stuff out of nowhere because you can? i5 is better, but it does not fit in the budget.
