Sd card recommendations?

I'm planning on purchasing a Sony AX100 for 4k video recording. I was wondering exactly what SD card specs I need to record comfortably and if anyone had any recommendations on cards. I've been reading mix thoughts about having at least a 40mb write card or a 60mb write card at bare minimum.

XC is extra capacity I think. Which you will probably need.

For 4K video you want top of the line. I wouldn't cheap out. I've had 40-60Mb speed cards fail at 1080p.

Look straight at the Sandisk Extreme Pro line. They record pretty much everything in capacities from 16GB (laughable for 4K) to 512GB. Lexar and other brands offer competitive alternatives, and you probably won't go wrong with them, but SanDisk nearly always have the best.

I have no experience with 4k, but I only use Lexar and SanDisk sd's, and have heard amazing things about their top of the line models for 4k use. Definitely use a top of the line model though.

When in doubt, re-format.

for 4k, i'd go with a sandisk extreme pro card.

i would go with a sandisk pro card, they have version wich go up to 75mb/s write/read speed IIRC, with sizes up to 512GB, i would go with 60mb/s write speed atleast and for 4k recording 64gb storage as the limit.

this will be quite expensive altough sandisk card's have a theoretical lifespan of 10years+

May the light have your back and your ISO low.
