F@H Chrome App not working

I just launched the F@H Chrome app for the first time in forever, and for some reason it is not working. It just keeps downloading new work units, and never actually folds. I'm not sure if I have that one flag I can't remember enabled. Device is a Samsung Chromebook with that stupid Exynos 3 CPU, ChromeOS is the latest version.

EDIT: I'll tag my two favorite folding guys. @Whaler_99 @tobben

Hehe, nice to hear. But i don't think i can help, i haven't really used

the plugin all that much, and from my understanding there really isn't

a whole lot you can do with it. Which is why i stick to the desktop client.

Does it actually finish downloading properly or is it interrupted halfway?

It might be a problem on Stanford's end, otherwise i guess you could try

removing it and re-installing it.

It seems like it's able to finish, but it's actually working on the unit that doesn't work. I think I'll have to go into the flags and see if NACL is enabled or not.

Guess i didn't read properly, try this in the command

line? might be a longshot :P

chrome.exe --enable-nacl

I had just enabled NACL in the flags, all to no avail. :(

Still having problems or did you/it sort it/itself out? :P

Otherwise you could have a poke around or try to make

a thread on the folding forum, unless @Whaler_99 has

some better input.

It is pretty strange that it would keep downloading wu's,

and not start working if it actually properly downloads a

wu in the first place.. I would have thought it would stop

by itself and report an error if that was the case. Or

maybe the chrome plugin isn't quite so elaborate.

People still seem to be encountering a variety of problems

with the chrome plugin.

I kinda gave up on the Chrome app. It just... Wow. I think the longest it has ever worked on my Chromebook was 2 days.

Chromebook not supported, as in the CPU - only Intel and AMD CPU's supported... The Chrome app is pretty stupid when it comes to errors and such...

Yeah, on second thought i figured.. what the hell, folding on chromebook?

But i have stumbled upon a few people doing it, i would assume somewhat

successfully. And i haven't seen the guys at the forum saying straight up that

it doesn't work.

Maybe it works with some and not with others? the whole thing being abit

iffy? i remember this thread from a while ago, good stuff :P

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/133885-how-to-start-folding-on-a-chromebook/page-2

Although i guess that means it likely isn't officially supported, working so

crummy and all.

Odd. It worked early last year for a little while.

Yeo, who knows. They have been updating the client as well and official it only supports Intel and AMD chips, but maybe yours snuck in for a while. :)
