LED Burnout in keyboards

Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue, I just got a Cooler Master Quickfire Rapid-I with brown switches. Already 2 LED's have burnt out. The K and the print screen keys. Its only been 3 days since I purchased it.

The same thing happened to my Corsair K70 with red switches. Only it took about 3 months for the first to go. But eventually 32 keys burnt out. Corsair wanted me to ship it to them in California. I'm in Canada so shipping was so much that I thought I'd just get a new keyboard, rather than risk the same thing happening to the K70 they sent me back.

So I did some research, and decided on brown switches, and a 10 key-less design. Other than the lights burning out the Cooler Master is my favourite keyboard I've ever used.

Am I just unlucky? Should I exchange this one for another? Is this a common problem among Mechanical keyboards?

What would you guys suggest?

Thanks

You are unlucky, IMO. Shit, I had a keyboard from 1997 and the LEDs weren't even burnt out on that. And it had a LOT of use from the previous business.

I think you're just unlucky. You can fix it yourself usually, but that's more effort than sending it in.

You are an unlucky ducky.

Speaking of which, I know Ducky keyboards are notoriously reliable so those are a safe bet if you want some reliable keyboards.

I bought a cooler master storm backlit keyboard and mouse combo on a lark. backlighting on the keyboard is ok, mouse wheel died after 2 days though. Seems to be the way with most cooler master products. power buttons breaking on cases (I've bought 4 CM cases in the past year alone for various computers, damn buttons...), fans vibrating after a couple months, AIO pumps whining, blood seeping from the walls.... I still love the hyper 212. definitely a product they did right.

Yeah I really like my hyper 212 as well. I'm gonna go back to Memory Express, either exchange it or return it. I really wish they had duckies there. I always hear fantastic things about them, but I really like seeing and touching a product before I buy it.
