Lighting recommendations

Looking to improve my lighting and not sure what way to go. I've been swaying towards LED spot lights as they're compact as I have a small area to work with where as soft boxes most of the time take up a lot of room.

I would also be using these for when I stream, so getting a little tripod and sitting them on my desk for better lighting too.

I've been looking at theses http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CU2LF5A/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1T8PWVFQX159NJNHZQRC&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=455344027&pf_rd_i=468294 but do you think soft boxes are a better path to go?

Use would be for video, photographs and for my face when streaming using webcam and not really got an idea of budget for this, lets say £100-£150ish

I don't think going with LED is a good option with all that blue light coming fro them, NEON is awesome.

Why not 5600k CFLs and reflector boards if you're short on cash?

You can always DIY the tripod mounting and the reflector board...

Not short on cash, short on space really, would be mainly used on a desk. Was looking at these since LED ones aren't recommended http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ex-Pro-Professional-Continuous-Lighting-Stands/dp/B001PBJTYG/ref=pd_cp_ph_3

Can't, I suck at lighting a lot and don't know a lot about neon, I buy regular one from store and install it in the ceiling.

That looks fine... If you have any white walls or a white ceiling you can bounce it off to give softer lighting... If not, you can always fashion reflector boards out of cardboard and white paint...

I had to make do once with something like this, a ceiling mounted CFL  and a plain white wall...

I was looking at these but they just take up too much space and I would have no where to put them. I have a box for a room, my setup is literally touching my bed haha

LED's are fine. Neon is not...unless you're talking about fluorescent tubes...which isn't neon. If you can, find a panel with a diffuser lens (frosted plastic/glass), variable brightness, and a stated color temperature. LED's do tend to run a bit cool as far as color temperature, but all you really need to do is properly white balance your camera. Without a diffuser or some distance between the LED panel and the subject, the light can be quite harsh; that can also be mitigated with variable brightness. I like LED panels for lighting, they run cool and they aren't too hard on batteries. I have used standard 'work lights' for lighting before; they're super cheap, put out a ton of light, but they get extremely hot. For your situation though, @CookieDunne, an articulated desk lamp or two with some big CFL bulbs would probably be more than sufficient.

these will be a better its a true 5600k light with out the blue that the Aputure has and you don't need to have a big light that close.

Wall mounting an option?

I use a soft box setup similar to the ones suggested by @ShadowCaptain but have some really low on the floor I.

front of the green, which *may* fit onto a desk. Or you'll be able to set it on the bed relatively easily.

I use a stand like this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121400746071?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

And replace any lightbulbs in your room with CFLs - if your room is small enough it might even be enough, unless you want to do something like chroma keying.
