GTX 770 vs GTX 770M

Hi guys,

A friend of mine is planning on buying an alienware m17 and I'm trying to stop him any way possible. Could someone get me a performance chart/graph to compare the 770M which he is considering to customize into the laptop against a normal 770. I personally could only find results concerning the FireStrike benchmark.

Its hard to find graphs like that because laptop gpus dont go against full sized gpus very often but it will be a significant boost.

Just try and find something like a heaven benchmark for each of the cards and show him the difference. Alienware is just a pile of badly desige overheating overpriced rubbish.

I didn't find much about that, but for what i can see the 770M is more or less a 660 or 660Ti.

 

And tell him to not buy that piece of overpriced shit. It's like buying Apple again. Even a decent Acer whatever it's called Desktop is really good^^

GTX 770M is equivalent to a 650 Ti .

770M is closer to a 570 which is a 660.  So I guess around a 650 TI boost?

Get both their specs up side by side and explain each one to him so he can understand the difference between the 770 and 770M.

The card has 768 Cuda cores which is the number oc roes a 650 TI has but apparently their wrong, because according to Nvidia the card has 960 Cuda cores & 192bit interface, which makes it a 660, but since the card runs at about 100mhz less than the 660 the performance should be closer to a 650 Ti boost.

So yes I would agree.
