Smash the PS4 for $402

Jack.EXE
Go to solution Solved by Jack.EXE,

This build was intended to be used with SteamOS.

Thinking of getting a console for couch gaming?

Think again.

I'll just skip the fluff. This rig is faster in most games, plays at higher settings, and can do more than your console ever could.

It's one Achilles heel, is it's lack of a quad core, but this shouldnt be a problem in most games.

I would prefer a quad core Athlon, personally, but that would put this build $20 over budget.

Pirating windows hardly works anyway. Keys always running out at random points, can't install all updates... Not to mention the RAT's and TROJANS hidden on the cracked files.

Guys, you're forgetting that the long-term cost of running this will be lower (thank god for steam sales), so even with windows/better parts it's still more economically viable.

they aren't actually made by evga the good ones are made by super flower and I wouldn't be surprised if the cheaper ones used lots of Chinese caps like teapos or something like that

Super flower is a very trusted brand of PSU's and EVGA doesn't cheap out on much except on that 970/980 heatsink Kappa

J/k. Although if you can afford licenses for all those, you sure can spend a hundred bucks on Windows.

Yep, no matter what people say about the overclocking on the pentium, a locked i3 still crushes it if you want to do anything besides play games at the same time, and it will also save you some pain from some, er, questionable titles ahem ubisoft, far cry4

Well my version of Windows is fine (I have it pirated) and I can install all the updates.

Another "kill your console" build with no OS. Cool. You should add another $100 to that and quit cheating.

Old shit no one cares about but me.
