NVIDIA Shield Tablet Opinions/Thoughts?

Ryou-kun

Okay, I am in a market of deciding in between two tablet or three tablet, but I want to focus on NVIDIA Shield Tablet's opinions/thoughts from you guys.

How good is NVIDIA Shield Tablet battery in term three scenario uses: standby/sleep, casual/light uses (Facebook/Twitter/Messaging/Browsing/Steam) and intensive/hardcore uses (casual/light uses + streaming music/watch movies/tv shows/android games/streaming PC games/etc).

How good is the DirectStylus 2?

It frustrate me how there are barely reviews about it, and I have no idea how it function/work/etc.

What I mean like is it great for digital handwritten note taking purpose?

I was thinking if it is possible to use it with OneNote app and take notes. :P

Also is it possible to get "Screen Write" like the S-Pen (Air Command) on Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone and tablets?

I think it might be useful for eBooks/eTexts and/or essays documents (I know my Spring 2015 Semester will have shitload of essays).

On Amazon, NVIDIA Shield Tablet 32GB 4G LTE (AT&T Unlocked).

Is it possible to slap a T-Mobile sim card or don't need it at all?

I don't really care about the 4G LTE because all I care about is the 32GB on board storage over 16GB on non-4G LTE one.

By the way, what Android games at the Play Store can you play with the controller?

And is the controller rechargeable?

Any more details about your opinions/thoughts and experiences is awesome~!

Thank you very much. :P

@Ryou-kun

not sure on battery life, I think its pretty good though!!!

The stylus is amazing, great for drawing, writing and note taking, AFAIK it works with any application that supports handwriting so yes one note too :)

screen write? is that annotating screenshots? yes i believe it has an app like that included (the tegra note did)

If you dont care about LTE, just get the 16gb version and some big micro SD cards, you can install apps and games to the micro SD

Dunno about battery life. I'd say probably pretty good. For gaming the only thing that may be better is the Nexus 9 but I don't think there'll be anything significant there.

Spen like features - there's an app that lets you use them on other devices right? Or was that only other Samsung devices? Regardless I'm sure you can find apps to do similar functions.

I'd get it but the laminated and slightly sharper display as well as smaller size of my Nexus 7 makes me doubt the trade is worthwhile. :P

Maybe if I could use my wired 360 controller rather than have to by the Shield one to get good response I'd consider it more.

What I mean about "Screen Write" like one of the S-Pen Feature is that it allows you to make a box anywhere, then it automatically screenshot it and immediately allows you to write on that screenshot WITHOUT loading any apps to do so.

I don't want to load any apps that will allow me to do it because if I am in class it takes away your time.

You do know how annoying if you are falling behind for few seconds really hurt you. :P

Make sure you review the stylus part.

It seems like a lot of reviewer just give a brief review and ignored it, lol.
