never even heard of that PSU brand

what other brand of PSU the shop has that is a reputable brand?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

no, it's not a reputable brand.

does the PC store has Corsair, CoolerMaster or any other brand of PSU?

the last you want to do is cheap out on the PSU and it kills your PC when it blows

Go as high as you can on the multiplier without changing voltage. Imo 4.0 on stock cooler is pushing it but I've seen 4.2 done. If you can't overclock in bios make sure you've updated the bios.

Sadly Gigabyte has a 1.2v limit.  I saw somewhere that most using Asus H81 motherboards can get 4.5Ghz ....but here is a quick vid with the G3258 and Gigabyte B85M

I have the same motherboard and cpu.

I'm overclocked to 4.2 on the stock HSF.

By following this tutorial by Bryan it was easy.

Give it a try. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results.

Cheers

Brand means NOTHING when it comes to PSUs.

You should base the purchase of a power supply on the overall quality (or power supply tier rating) and the OEM.

While your PC isn't going to draw anything close to 450w I wouldn't recommend overclocking with it. IMO you should only overclock if you have a decent PSU (tiers 1-3 imo).

If you want a decent PSU on a tight budget then go for Antec's VP450.

Do you got a stable CPU? I wanted to go up to atleast 1.25v but my mobo denied me to go over 1.2v so I stayed at 3.8GHz. But if yours is stable then I guess I can get above 4GHz :3
