i like cpu's. 

There's a CINEBENCH thread that you should check out.

For the graphs should I colour the bars by brand (e.g. Red/Blue) or by CPU (so lots of different colours)?

By brand, though you will need to ensure there is plenty of spacing out.

Lol, its just a shame I no longer have my plethora of CPUs. Out of the 87 going back to 1982, I only have 8 of the originals, and of those I have 6 working (damn bios barrel batteries killed 2, and I can't actually make a useable computer out of the others as I don't have the right type of keyboards-they do post however). And they would make for some entertaining benchmarks too. Especially the ones capable of running the modern benchmarking software.

If only you had a 280X. I could do backup runs to see how they compare.

 

But I can do some backup runs on the CPU benchmarks if you need some with higher core speeds.

It's unfortunate but the best card I have is the 7950 which may cause a issue or 2 in my GPU testing.

 

I aimed to keep core speeds close to what most people will run, as fun as 5.35GHz runs are they're not too relevant to most people's usage :)

I can stick to a voltage limit or I can test with a AIO and a Hyper 212 Evo and see how far they will let me go.

You're not the most trustworthy guy when it comes to benchmarks.

Oh, and if your talking about the 4770 etc. I have already started working on it and already completed my initial run. Be prepared to be proved wrong as I also am saving all of the logs too. 

 

I'll give you more then enough proof.

that's what my sample does :(

If that's the highest it can overclock, it must be binned quite low.

its interesting that the 8320 hods up with your 4690k so well :D

 

pretty embarrassing to intel to be perfectly honest.

a 3 year old mid tier cpu can almost beat the newest intel i5 part...ouch

in some of the tests, in others its being beat on the face by a Dual core from 2008

I've actually got a comprehensive list myself, and boy do they show the Core 2s in a good light, if they had 8 cores, the FX 8350 would be left far behind.
