Help me find a good webcam for the money

I'm in need of a webcam I grabbed a Logitech Quick Cam Chat http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-931462-0403-QuickCam-Chat/dp/B000FU0XAW temporarily 

The quality is quite bad so I'm looking to get another webcam, but I have very little clearance over my monitor 2.1 inches this webcam doesn't fit normally only just barely with messing around with it

I'm considering a couple of webcams http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Portable-1080p-Webcam-Autofocus/dp/B004YW7WCY this one being the main one also concidering the logitech C525 and C920 but the dimensions don't seem to tell

you anything for what you actually need for clearance or just straight up inaccurate, the Quick Cam is 2.3 inches so something that's 2 inches or less of clearance would work for me but I don't know 

a way of checking so if any of you could help?

You might get a bunch of ppl suggesting the Logitech C920. I own one and I must warn you that it has a very short focus range. I don't know if this is normal for webcams though as I don't own any other webcam.

 

Its focus range is around 30-40cm. It can't focus on anything further than that. It also has an issue where even when in focus. The image is only sharp at the center. The outer sides are all blurry. 

 

So yea. On paper the specs are good. But it has a terrible lens.

 

For clearance:

The grip on the bottom is 4.5cm

The length from right to left is 9.5cm

Front to back is 7cm

Can I bump this thread for some advice? I know this is taboo on some forums, but I do want ot necro this thread for some updated advice.
