steam won't recognize my games

Elite14

I had to do a fresh install of windows 7, so I coped all of my steam games( 90gb worth) from the common folder from my old install thinking I could just copy them back to the common folder in the new install, but I can't seam to get it to work. The games and steam app are on different hdd any ideas?

change your install directory?

If I understood the thing correctly...

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

you will have to install again where you put them, when you start the install program it will validate the files you have there.

It needs to make the common folder before you can copy any games to it, i would download the smallest game you can or find one that's small then once it's downloaded the common folder will be there ready for you to copy to.

ok but it says there is not enough space

It still doesn't see them

Make a new steam library folder and download a small game into there once the game is downloaded and the common folder is in the correct place move your games over and try again.

copy the game to the folder and then hit install in steam, it will proceed to say "finding game files" from your original post I've assumed you haven't done that

make sure the game is in the folder steam would install it to

Steam is not really co-operative with these kind of things. (annoying with a large library if you installe verything). Anyway, clear your old stuff and reinstall/download the games.
