CPU Cleaning

Go to solution Solved by Akolyte,

Yeah, I used it on my CPU.  Just use it with a coffee filter.  And it dries really quick, so after its dried put the new cooler on.

Hi, i am going to be installing a corsair H105 in my rig soon and will obviously have to clean the thermal compound off the CPU, will 100% isopropyol alcohol work the same as 99% or is there a reason you cant use 100% ?

Thanks

He means wipe the old paste off with the filter instead of paper towel. The filter will not leave behind fibers.
