Are AOC monitors any good?

Rodneyg87

I was browsing around pc part picker and I ran across a AOC i2267Fw and it has next to no bezel which would be amazing for me since I am planning to go triple monitors. But I have never heard of this brand before and cant find customer reviews on this model. So what do ya'll think about it? Is it worth the money or is it trash? It would be used for gaming and college work.

The sound booth at my church has one of the 21:9 monitors they make and I love it. I wanted to take it home or trade them I liked it so much (I didn't actually ask about it, I'm just gonna buy my own whenever I can) over my Asus 16:9 IPS monitor.

No bezel? U2414h?

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

AOC has been around for ages! It's a solid brand, they don't make their own panels (most don't these days), but they still are a worthy competitor and choice.

Cool I was planning to go with Asus VX228H's but my buddy keeps yelling at me to ips over tn and thats what I found at the same price. I know its only a 22 inch monitor but I plan to have 3 of them so I think that size wouldn't be an issue for me.

I personally prefer 3 monitors when gaming so 16:9 is perfect for me. I know i could get the same width out of two 21:9 monitors but having 3 screens for my college work would be a massive advantage to have instead of having to minimize things.

He is now wrong, specially if you are going for three monitors, the color reproduction and viewing angles are definitively worth it. That AOC monitor is basically a Acer H236HLbid copycat.

IMO vertical size is very important, specially for large setups, 22" monitors are slightly shorter than 23" ones, even if both are 1080p. Price difference between 22 and 23/24 is not that high really, you might want to hold on and aim for that slightly larger display.

With my current build plans I can only afford to spend between $100-130 on a monitor and plan to get the other two 4-8 weeks later. My old rig that I sold back in 2012 I had 3 Acer 20 inch tn monitors on it so 3 22 inch monitors is an upgrade for me. I dont know much about ips to be honest I just know that my old tn panels looked really nice even on an angled setup. Below is a link to my build plans currently. I know I can save some cash on a few things but im going for the white and black theme so to get those specific colors I have to spend a little more on certain items. And my reasoning for the i7 over the i5 is I have two separate builds using the same exact parts and the i5 build is only $50-60 cheaper in the end and with the college degree I am going for I do 3D rendering so the i7 would suit me better. Yes I know the keyboard comes with a mouse but I only went with that keyboard since its the cheapest backlit keyboard I could find I plan to go mechanical within a few months of building, but I play MMO's and I used to have a razer naga so having an MMO mouse is way more comfortable for me rather than a standard gaming mouse since in WOW without one im a clicker which is extremely bad for raiding.

Well great then! I see you have some white/black going on there, pretty sweet :)

Well, be sure you make a build log and upload some pics once you get the thing started ;)

I have the i2267Fw and the e950Sw as a second monitor.  I have had the 950 for about 2 years now and the 2267 for about 6 months. I enjoy gaming on the 2267 however I like the brightness on the 950 for darker games. But AoC is a really decent monitor brand in my opinion.

I most definitely will. It will be about 4 months from start to finish on this since I wont be able to get 2 of the monitors, one gpu, the mechanical keyboard, and my surround sound speakers right away they will have to wait till i can save more money after the initial build.
