samba share showing in media peripherals

Hi, I have a problem when sharing my files through my Ubuntu server to windows 7 using samba. Everything works fine but but share appears in the medias peripherals section in network. If I double click on that, it opens up windows media player... How to I move the share to the computer section above?

To me it sounds like you've got media services running on the Ubuntu server perhaps and windows media player is detecting that?

 

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "computer section above", are you referencing something within windows media player (sorry don't have it installed on my Win 8.1 machine).

 

If you're looking for a way to drag and drop files between the two machines I wouldn't use windows media player, I would just use the file explorer in windows and just go into the network section on the left hand side of explorer, is the Ubuntu server showing up there?
