Asus ROG Swift Vs. MSI 780 Lightning

Rasmuff
Go to solution Solved by dragoon20005,

your GPU will power the monitor

but at 1440P

your GPU might struggle to push 1440P res at a constant rate

so you might not be able to use up to the monitor's potential

So in a competition between my current graphics card, the MSI 780 Lightning and a Asus ROG Swift. Who would win?

and by that i mean; Would The Swift be to much for my computer to push? or would the GPU win and perform fine.

At the moment I'm using a pretty dang old monitor that runs something like 1680x1050 and now that i have a more powerful computer and some money I'm looking to get a better monitor.

Let me guy know what you guys think,

Thanks!

The ROG Swift has G-Sync so it'll be OK. Not that I'd ever recommend it as a monitor, it's way too expensive for what it is.

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

The GPU will not be enough to do 144FPS at 1440p high/max in modern AAA titles.
