I don't know if anybody has made this kind of thread before, but here it goes :)

 

I find myself wishing this forum had a manga/anime sub-forum, because a lot of times when i want to talk about the latest anime/manga ep./ch., it get's literally buried by posts in Anime Club Heaven Society thread....

 

That why i think we should:

 

Make something called "Anime Club Heaven Society sub-forum", or just "Anime/Manga sub-forum"

Pin "Anime Club - Heaven Society" thread to that sub-forum

Pin a thread about that season's anime chart

 

 

I think this would be a quite nice solution O.o What do you guys think @MyInnerFred, @Luclocke

 

What do our admins (@LinusTech, @Slick) think about this idea O.o

Thanks :) I just got this idea after thinking about Bakuman and how it was quite good for it's genre (actually, it's the best manga in it's genre i've read), but i knew that if i made a post about it in Anime Club Heaven Society, it would be buried very soon :(

I know, but why shouldn't there be O.o It's not like we don't have members that like anime and tech... It would be quite nice to have a sub-forum for anime/manga only :) There might even be members who would only come for that sub-forum :)

Like i said, i know about it, but a lot of posts get buried.... You mention some anime (exp. Shakugan no Shana), and it gets buried... If you had a thread in a dedicated sub-forum, you could talk about it to your hearth's desire :)

I partially don't understand why we have a video game subforum.

or we could just make an off-topic section.

I think there are dedicated forums you can use for this, LTT is a tech forum, having a club on offtopic is plenty. If you want a forum dedicated to anime then start a club on MAL or something.

Sure, I think it would give people who are really into anime a place to talk about it (I've only watched ~20 different animes while my friend has watched 237 so I wouldn't consider myself that involved in it  :P).

I already have accounts on a few anime/manga forums, but believe me, it's hard to keep track of multiple forums.... That's why i think it would be nice if we had this sub-forum here :)

Why wouldn't we have a cars, music, moview/tv sub-forums as well O.o But i believe it would be too cluttered... There needs to be more planning for sure, but i believe it shouldn't be too hard :)

Seeing as the admins are over the age of 12 I'm going to hazard a guess that they don't want a subforum for the discussion of children's cartoons on their tech forum.

If I may weigh in, and I believe @MyInnerFred has a similar opinion, the anime thread we have created is sufficient enough and we do not formally request a dedicated thread for the promotion and discussion of anime on the thread, however should the admins be in favor of this idea, due to the number of individuals who participate in the club and enjoy watching it, we would certainly not be opposed.

 

On the other hand I would strongly be in favor of just a pin for the anime thread in the off-topic section, which is always an option going forward.

If the admins deem it necessary then go for it, however I doubt it'll be added since people who watch anime and is a member of LTT is in the minority. 

 

For a future note, if you have any ideas please PM me. It would be easier if you make suggestions for a solution to the problem in collaboration with us since we already established a community within the club.
