So nothing on screen just black, try to clear the cmos.

Hi audience, would really appreciate it and be thankful if you could respond to this. I have just bought a corsair cx500 psu (fully wired version). Now I went to install it (did it correctly) attached it all and hooked it up to the socket and nothing. The fan moved a little bit (not a full spin)and that was that. I tried the paper-clip method to fool the psu and the fan started spinning. So I thought "great it is working" but no joy. I tried just using the 24 pin and it powered the fans on low (they are set to high with bios). here are my system specs and again I would really appreciate it if you could respond. old psu accidentally broke one of cables with cable tie to close to it:

amd A10 7700k 3.4 ghz boosts to 3.8 ghz

450 watt generic grey box psu (the OLD one)

500 watt psu (corsair cx500) the NEW one

1tb wd blue boot drive and mass storage

Gigabyte ga f2a88xm ds2.

cpu cooler: be quiet! shadowrock slim.

additional notes: I have had this system for 7 months and have decided to get a 750ti so I needed a psu just to supply a little extra power when under load and options for future expandibilty.

So is the new PSU powering the computer and allowing it to POST then?

If so, I think the no spin/low fan speed is because the CX500 controls the fan speed in relation to temperature. It only spins up when it needs to in order to remain as quite as possible.

There is no screen just the fans coming on low (some reason all fans are on low)

And you've checked all the connections to everything and re-seated all the cables on the motherboard/everything?

Stop making multiples of threads

I'm not going to monitor 3+ threads to see if there any progress and changes that have been made. Not to mentioned that you had omitted a few of the things you have said in the original thread.

Did you read my post in your original post? Because I made a post there with advice.

Of course, you didn't reply and made another thread, and since you had to asked this question, I'm assume that you didn't read it either?

I'm done here.
