no sound in any game

i just replaced my old geforce 8400gs gpu with gtx 650ti boost ,i am getting audio normally while browsing playing music videos but there is no sound in any games!!! and reinstalled all games but still problem exists help guys!

Check your audio settings. Try using the Audio Mixer. You might have just turned it down.

Go into sound settings, disable stereo mix. Check your that your default playback device is the correct one, most likely your realtek high def audio. I remember this strange anomaly when using speakers and headphones together using stereo mix and the game audio comes out the speaker and anything else to my headphones.

What do you mean without headphones? Trust me its not your GPU, at most a driver issue because a GPU won't affect sound unless its software related. Check your sound settings again, disable stereo mix and set the correct default device.

 

Worst comes worst just reinstall windows. Thats what I always do when im too lazy to solve a problem.

Did you install the Audio drivers ? also select the default to the one you are using.
