which keyboard?

ledozo

Hello, i need some help choosing which keyboard i should purchase.

I either want the minimalism of a wasdkeyboard or a filco, which i will purchase custom keycaps for (post below color schemes or suggestions on what i should buy)

or a completely different keyboard,

the Corsair K95 RGB.

these options are very different, and price is not an issue. I am having an unusally hard time deciding which one to get, even though they are very different. Please list pros and cons of each, and your preference. I do not know which switches i am getting, but i am ordering a mx switch tester, so please don't bring up switches.

Thank you very much!

I'd get the K95. Do you plan on using macros? If not, I would get the K70 instead. Save a little bit of money to use towards something else.

I know you said not to bring up switches, but there's only one switch available on the K95 - Reds. If you want Reds then that's no issue (switch tester as you said above).

I'd say if you find that you prefer Reds then go for the K95. If you don't simply go for a custom WASD keyboard. Simple as that.

I wouldnt get the k95 just because the keycaps are all non standard spacing meaning you could never upgrade to a different set of caps in the future. A filco is a great board and I can whole-heartedly recommend that.

Never getting razer again. i have used their keyboards, and have seen and bought multiple headsets only to see the mic break, the band break, or in the keyboards case, switches break in less that a month. I have never bought a keyboard, only headsets.

Huh, that's weird. Corsair's own site is wrong... It looks like browns and reds for sure and I would assume they'll do blues.

Even so, I still say a WASD keyboard unless you need a million macros and the ugly AF plastic attached to the side of the K95 - it's literally a K70 with unmatched plastic attached to it and it looks hideous.

Filco majestouch is on sale at ncix ($40 coupons for different filco keyboards) until the 28th I think. If that helps with your decision at all.
