Help with a borrowed projecter?

Guest

Okay, so I don't do a lot of home theater stuff, and I need some help. I have a borrowed projecter from a friend and the it has only a component input. The only thing that has component output at my house is an Xbox 360. This is okay because I just want to have a movie night with friends and the Xbox can play DVDs. What isn't okay is that when I hook up the Xbox the image is super fuzzy. I tried changing the Xbox and projecter settings to no avail. The default screen without anything plugged into the projecter is crisp, so what's the issue? Is there a way I could hook a laptop to this to get a better image, or maybe find an old DVD player lying around? I don't want to spend a whole lot of money on this because I'm just borrowing it. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

input converter thats prettymuch the only solution unless you have a old dvd player with component output

Make sure the output settings on the xbox are proper? Maybe it's trying to output 1080p or 480p or something?

Id say the manual focus was off, but you said the splash screen is clear so I have no clue.
