Free content as an apology for Halo master chief collection

You'll be getting:

  • 1 months xbox live gold
  • Exclusive in game nameplate
  • Exclusive in game avatar

Next week they'll also be adding 10 spartan ops missions from halo 4 and in the future will be adding more halo 2 anniversary maps starting with relic.

The biggest piece of news will be the addition of the Halo 3 ODST campaign which will be free to anyone who has bought the game between 11/11/14 and 19/12/14. I'm guessing it will be available to purchase for anyone who buys the game anytime after that.

Of course this doesn't change the fact that the game still hasn't been completely fixed!

I think they are going to charge everyone else for H3 ODST, as well as the map.

Relic was a fun map, I remember playing yellow brick road on that map, that essentially meant that someone (the host) had modified the games files. The SMG would fire the scorpion tanks rounds and that kind of thing....

Was fun, most of the action happened outside the map in that game mode.

EDIT: Yellow brick road was a platforming game mode of sorts, thus it had to be modded, there was no forge in H2. In-game assets would be spawned into the air to make a "road", after you navigated that "road" back to the island you would be some sort of a power weapon. That would often be the SMG that fired scorpion tank rounds, to add to that you usually had a direct LOS to the spawn area, multikills ensued shortly.

Spoiler

Case Bitfenix Ghost, Mobo Asus Maximus VIII Ranger, CPU i7 6700K @4.2 Ghz cooled by Arctic cooling Freezer i30, (barely). GPU Nvidia GTX 970 Gigabyte G1 @1519Mhz core, RAM 16Gb Crucial Ballistix CL16 @2400Mhz. SSD 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus as my OS drive. HDD's  1TB  Seagate ST31000524AS its OEM, 3TB Seagate Barracuda, 2x 500GB WDC Blue (RAID 0)

If it isn't working absolutely perfectly, according to all your assumptions, it is broken.

Sounds like it would have been fun. I never actually played halo 1 or 2 before this collection so it's been nice being able to understand the story before 3 which was the first I played.
