Screen turning black constantly.

So my Dad is having this issue with his computer, using built in graphics. His monitor will flash black in almost perfect intervals. This issue occurs in the bios as well. Does anybody have an trouble shooting techniques to figure out with the problem is? Any help is appreciated!

 

He is using an Asus MX279H display. With HDMI.

Ensure the cable from your PC to the monitor isn't loose. Check both ends.
