Best Mobo and CPU for $200-$230

I want to build a budget gaming pc that will play BF4, BF Hardline, mostly triple A title, first person shooters. I have looked at several different graphics cards and determined i want the Sapphire Dual-X Radeon R9 280, but i have not yet determined what cpu and motherboard i want. What is the best CPU for gaming, can be OC and for about $100-$125 and a motherboard with max 32gb ram, an updated chipset, ATX and around $100?

Intel Core i5 4440 + AsRock H97 Pro4.

Technically, the CPU can overclock a little, but it will still perform better for gaming than most any AMD CPU in the budget (including the FX 8320.)

Why is everyone so hung up on overclocking? A locked i5-4440 for $170 and an H81/B85/H97 board for $45-$60 will rape any overclock you could do on $230 for gaming. If you want to overclock and beat a locked i5 + H81/B85/H97 combo for gaming, expect to spend $220 on an i5-4690k, $100 on a Z97 board, and $30 on a Hyper 212 EVO bare minimum, so at least $350 total.

Seriously, just overclock your graphics card. That will actually make a difference for your frame rates. An i5-4440 and an R9 280 are a really balanced combo that will be great for gaming on.

i agree. if the ''drive to microcenter and grab a deal on a 4690k'' is not an option id suggest you just get this instead and youll be just fine:
