Weird Stuttering, Please help!

Hi, so I have just occurred a very weird problem on my gaming pc. It has run fine for about 2 months, but now I have run into audio and video stuttering issues. My hunch is that it could be the processor , but I kind of doubt that. I overclocked the CPU by literally only 100 Mhz without touching the voltage, I ran prime 95, it was stable, and I reverted back to default clock settings. That was about 4 days ago. the problem showed up yesterday. I have a closed loop liquid cooler with ridiculously low temps even during that over clock. It never went above 47 degrees at 100% load! So is it my cpu or something else I should be worried about?

Thanks in advance for any help

Did you hit "reset to default settings" in the BIOS or did you actually set the clocks back down manually?

Does your CPU hit 100% load when it stutters? You should try to uninstall audio drivers and graphic drivers, restart, then reinstall the latest verions

My cpu is maxing out when it stutters, so could overclocking actually help? I will also try the drivers

What CPU do you have?  And the Audio and video stutter is caused by your CPU maxing out, It cant process fast enough (or good enough) so it stutters and lags behind.

You can try to OC, Will help to a exstent depending on your CPU, And what type of Videos is it? 1080p, 4k etc? online? Offline? Format?

Oh just 1080p gaming. No editing, I realize that I would have a horribly underpowered rig for that. Should I still try the drivers? It is just strange because I have never had this performance problem before the OC?

What CPU do you have and what Temps does your CPU reach? are you using the stock cooler?

I know this is going to be weird, but Im using a A8-6600k. I am using a closed loop liquid cooler so i have insanely low temps. I have never hit 50 degrees celcius. The highest I have seen at 100% load is 47

Okay, Them temps are normal, My Avg is between 40-55c   never higher then 60ish on air

you should be able to handle 1080p easily, What is using your CPU resources when it stutters?

Check Task manager for CPU load and the process thats using that amount.

Maybe you have a Anti virus/malware scan going on etc that ends up maxing your cpu usage thus making it stutter.
