is the HyperX 3K ssd ok?

Hey guys, title says it all, is the HyperX 3K ssd ok? i need an ssd to install bf4 and some other games on. or is a different ssd better for a lower price (under $100 AUD)

Yes, it would be a better choice.

The kingston 3k is actually a solid SSD, I would buy it over an 840 evo (I have an evo). It is also one of the longest lasting in the ssd endurance test. The sample size is really small so this doesn't say much but it beat the 840 evo and it's performance is very good too.

I have the 120gig version and cant complain. I had it for over a year now, and have not noticed any problems

Seqential speeds matter very little with ssds, especially write.

And this is how 3k rally performs

 

 

Nowhere near 550/500 speeds you think it has.

 

Right now, mx100, 840evo or ultra ii are better choices.
