CPU Cooler for AMD FX 9370

Pyromaniac321654
Go to solution Solved by MountainDrew,

I think the NH-D15 is too big

Edit: The NH-D14 will fit you'll just have to move the side panel fan on your case.

My system specs are:

GA-fxa990-Ud3

AMD FX 9370

EVGA SuperNova 850 G2

R9 270X

NZXT Guardian 921rb

WD Green 3TB

SAMSUNG 840 EVO 120GB SSD

Corsair H60( going to be replaced)

I had many issues with the Corsair H60 and I have returned it already and encountered the same problems. Since my case only supports 120-140mm Radiators, I cant upgrade to a H100i or any dual radiator coolers. Will the Noctua NH-D14 have adequate cooling? Is it better than the NH-U14S? Any help would be appreciated.

Why not get the Noctua NH-D15?

It will have adequate cooling for that CPU.

Edit: Never mind on PCPartPicker it says that your case is incompatible with the NH-D15 and NH-D15.

That board with that CPU and an air cooler sounds like a trainwreck en route

I would go with nothing less than an H100.

I know the D15 performs similarly or on par to an h100, I'm just not quite sure what else to recommend if it isn't an option.

Yeah, with the fx 9xxx series, I would recommend the nhd 15 over a 120/140mm aio for sure.

The nhd15 is as good, if not better than a 240mm aio.

It's also way quieter. :P

I don't think it will fit

Then get the 14, it performs almost as good as the 15, and as good as an h100i ;)
