cheap ssd?

littlepigboy5

I'm looking for an inexpensive ssd.  it needs to be sata 3 6Gbps and at least 120GB.  on PCP the cheapest is like 55.  I was wondering if, i live in socal btw, there are any places near me that may be selling used or refurbished ssds.  Thanks

I can help with programming and hardware.

Id say look on google and see if there is a Microcenter near you. They usually mark things down a lot cheaper than what they are everywhere else. If not $55-60 is what your looking at unless there is a sale.

the best cheap ssd is the crucial MX100, the kingston v300 used to be the king but they changed the NAND and it sucks now

I've tried to explain that but people remain ignorant of this, and this WILL be consistently the cheapest 120GB SSD.

I still see people putting that in people's builds on here.

For future posts this is in the wrong section, you should have posted it in Storage, Hot Deals is meant for posting good deals found around the internet.

Don't get a used SSD. Why bother? It's not a great deal more to get a quality new one. Check around your local classifieds if you're on a budget for a new, sealed in the box SSD.

There's bound to be some if you're in SoCal.

Crucial MX100. It's what I just bought for my new build. Probably gunna slap Windows and a few other key programs on there that I'll use a lot.

Normally I would say Overclock and Hardforum classifieds but you might as well buy a new ssd because those sell fast when they're listed. You won't be able to get a 120gb one for cheaper than around $60. Might as well go new.
