8 core FX-8320 only detecting 2 cores

hey guys, I just built my gaming pc.. and my cpu FX-8320 is only detecting 2 cores and 2 threads.. what should I do?

go into BIOS and see if all 8 threads are enabled.

spam f2 or del on bootup and look for the option.

where? in advance bios settings?

have you reset the bios? normally when swapping anything like CPU you should restore the bios to defaults. sometimes you have to move a jumper on the motherboard to clear cmos/rest bios, but newer boards may have different, easier ways. Check your mobo manual to make sure. Once reset you should be good to go.

You may also need a bios upgrade to take the new CPU so check that too.

i dont even know which motherboard you have.

just go through all of them.

hahaha.. I just went to bios and saw that CPU Unlock is Disabled.. I enabled it, and guess what.. it's now 8 core :D
