Not really. It needs a bios update and in order to do that you need a first gen haswell in it... It also doesnt allow you to overclock your unlocked cpu so whats the point in getting that in the first place?

It will work but your going to need to update the bios first some boards let you do it with a thumb drive but im not sure that yours supports It so you will need a 4 gen pre refresh chip to update the bios then you can use the 4690k

Get Z87 that has usb bios flashback (biosupdate without cpu) or get H97 (asus boards should allow overclocking)/ Z97

Well  if you want full overclocking capabillity´s with a 4690K you simply gonne need a Z97 chipset board.

 

How hard can it be?

 

If you dont care about overclocking, you could grab the Msi H97M-G43 board, you posted earlier.

And put a 4690 NON k on it.

And be happy with its turbo speed.

 

Thats the cheapest alternativity for you.
