Best 200mm fan for sound, airflow, and static pressure

PJemus

Im thinking of doing some cooling mods for my H440, either a tripple 140mm fan setup in the front (fairly light modding), ir a more extreme, dual 200mm fan setup (which is going to cost about half the price, and be 500x more badass). I have found that there are not many 200mm fans on the market, and i cannot seem to find many that are specifically designed for static pressure scenarios. What is the best all-round 200mm fan that has a focus that peans more towards static pressure?

I don't think those 200mm fans have either of those properties down well. I had a Bitfenix Spectre 230mm, and a noctua nf-f12 moved more air than that useless thing did. It had literally no static pressure, and could not even suck enough air through the fanfilter at 12V.

Hmm... Do 140mm sp optimised fans have the same problems? Would having tripple 140s be better than 3 120s (in terms of same airflow with less sound)?

Had the 230mms in my old bitfenix prodigy xl, They seriously sucked at moving air.

You shouldnt have any problem with 140mm sp fans, its just that the fan fins are very long on the 230mms, i guess thats whats causing it.

I would never have thought that 200mm fans could have these problems. I know some cases such as the phanteks evolv have 200mm fans, and that case has barely any breathing room. I just assumed that a 200mm fan would be fine. I think i could look in to whatever fan they have on the phanteks case, but i think i will just go for the 140s.

200mm fans are rather large. They don't spin as fast as smaller fans because they can move lots of air with their huge blades.

This slow speed however, makes them very poor at static pressure ratings. This and a filter on the intake side results in shit performance.

Blade design also comes into play and 200mm fans are usually designed for airflow only.

even at low rpm they will move more air than other large size fan.
