hello there, as the topic suggest i want to know whether the fx 8320 bottleneck the gtx970 ? and is going for a cpu like i5 4460 better ? thx in advance !

1. The FX-8320 is not an APU, it's a CPU

2. Yes it most likely will, I recommend the 4440 with a very cheap H81 board instead that isn't biostar or ECS

in CPU bound games, it will fall behind i5s and i7s for other games it will perform the same

 

the i5 could be a better option, though it might perform worse if you run heavily threaded programs (editing rendering, streaming etc)

 

as above its a CPU not an APU

An i5 4440 can handle any current game with no bottlenecks. (Got mine working again with my gtx 970)
