This FLEX PSU any good?

So recently, one of my Local PC retailers started selling this Flex ATX psu for S$70($55.99USD) that is a FSP 250W 80+ Bronze unit, it seems good, much better then my 220W that is currently in my System, is it worth it? Because it will be a long time before I can do any good upgrades or a full system rebuild.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't buy it.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

May I ask why?

AFAIK FSP is not too well-known. They may use crappy components and it could die on you within a week. See that 2 year warranty? Shows they aren't confident in it. Corsair's PSU warranty is 7 years. and EVGA's PSU warranty is 10 years.

Hmm, but I need a good Flex ATx, and this does seem better then my current 220 Watt one from Delta Electronics

I agree with Jerakl.  I wouldn't buy it because it's not reputable at all and 250 watts is a joke. Wait until you can afford a decent PSU of atleast 500w.  EVGA and Corsair is the way to go PSU-wise in my opinion. I believe EVGA has a 500w for like $40 bucks.

I'm not sure about the experiences that Jerakl has had with FSP, but I have owned many of their PSU's and they have been decent. Some of their cheaper designs are iffy, but that could be said about all PSU's. The reason why you don't hear about FSP that much is because they are mostly an OEM, so the only time you see their name on a product is inside of it(or the techincal data sheets). Unless if someone like Seasonic has a FLEX PSU, I would go with FSP, because they are the least sketchy out of the bunch.

Hmm ok, thanks, will go and do Size measurements and may go pick one up, because a PSU with a bronze efficiency seems much better then one without it, made by Delta

Lol. Thought FLEX was the brand. My bad. I have no experience in this area.

I have a lot of experience with SFF power supplies and I can safely say that unless its Delta, Seasonic, or FSP, then its garbage. Sparkle(SPI) was good at one point, but their products are hit and miss anymore.

So delta is good then? Or is it worth changing to this one

Unless if you need the extra 30 watts or need the efficiency(like if you live in a place with expensive power), then I wouldn't upgrade.

Hmm, well efficiency is always great to have, considering I do leave my PC on over night, but the only reason I would really think of upgrading is so that my 7750 and i5 wouldn't have too much strain in terms of the power

Delta is some of the best. Possibly better than seasonic
