Shipping long distance

I have a friend that i am helping build a computer. 

He lives in hawaii and i live in canada and i plan on shipping him a cpu for his build. only thing is i have no idea what it takes to ship from canada to hawaii.

I have never sent a parcel in my life, so i have no idea what to do.

Do i need stamps?

How do i figure out what it costs?

Where do i drop off the parcel?
