What should I go with

Ok guys thanks for all the help but I think I will go with the 34um95 and then when I am able I will find one of the dell almost square ones that will work well with the um95

Ok so this summer I am going to be getting either a single 34um95 or triple 1920x1080 monitors.

What I do is moderate gaming, school work which requires Adobe CC and lots of windows open at the same time, and media consumption and a little creation.

One question I have is that will the single wind-force gtx 970 have enough horsepower to drive this setup.

Thanks and may your wallet be spared from the upcoming steam sale  :)

Hi there. Move along, n0thing to see here.

Is that the curved ultrawide 2160*1080 monitor?

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

No that is the flat 1440x3440 ultrawide because I don't have the budget for the curved one

Ah I see.

the 3440*1440 has ~5 million pixels while the 3*1080p has ~6.2 million. So if you like to have a lot of windows open the 3*1080p would probably be better. It's what I would take atleast. 3*1080p is 3/4 of 4K which means you should take the 4K benchmarks for your GPU and multiply the framerate by 1.25 to get around the FPS you would be getting.

I would go with the 3 1080p monitors and it would take 2 970s to drive them. But id hold off on the gpu till january when the 960 is announced if it comes out with 3 or 4gb of vram and at least 192 bit memory buss two of them should be more than enough and be between $75-100 cheaper per card.

currently I have a dual montior setup and like pants said with the bezels I really dont like them and I would be using probably pro art 1200p ones and I REALLY dont like the bezels on those

I have 3 1080p monitors and love it. So that is what I'd have to say.

There you go

One correction: It would only be 1440x3440 if you had that 34" monitor in portrait mode, which would be quite ridiculous really, you need to change it to say "3440x1440" mate. ;)

For multitasking and having lots of Windows open I like to span that over multiple displays rather than a single one because it's easier to separate and divide the windows. When I have a larger single panel, things start overlapping and get lost. For multitasking, general productivity, and media consumption I recommend going for 3 panels. For gaming, bezels destroy the immersion in my opinion, so if that's your priority and if the games you play support 21:9 then get the ultrawide.
