I Need Help Picking a Monitor!

Hi,

I was looking for suggestions for a monitor to buy. I am currently building a new computer. These are the specs.

CPU -              Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core
CPU Cooler-   Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid
Motherboard-  Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 7 ATX LGA1150
Memory-         Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
Storage-         Crucial MX100 512GB 2.5" SSD
                       Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Video Card-    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB (SLI)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB (SLI)
Case-             Rosewill THOR V2 ATX Full Tower
Power-           Corsair 750W ATX12V / EPS12V

I am looking to take advantage of the specs of the machine. I am looking at IPS Panels because of the color reproduction which is very important to me. I mostly play games like Skyrim, Far Cry 4, and Assassins Creed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to spend more than $500 and the monitor should be at least 1440p.

I've been looking at some of those xstar 27in 1440p PLS monitors on eBay. I've seen and read some reviews online and they seem like a pretty good bang for the buck bargain option. Some people have been successful in overclocking the refresh rate on these monitors up 85hz. But I recommend spending a bit more for a perfect pixel version so you don't end up with dead pixels out of the box.

CPU: Intel i7 4770k 4.3ghz MOBO: Asus Z87 Sabertooth RAM: 2x8GB RipJaws 1866mhz GPU: 2x GTX780ti SLI 1.2ghz SSD: 960GB 2x Intel 730 RAID0 CASE: Fractal Design Define S COOLING: Custom EK watercooling loop

If you're in the US, the BenQ GW2765HT looks to be a good option and it's on sale now at US$50 under your max budget. :)
