I can get a pair of HD 600 for 150$ used. Should I sell my k7xx brand new and get the HD 600?

Linus does say that they sound almost the same. That is a really good deal for HD600's as well. I would go for it, and get the K7xx's as well if yo have the means.

As for your question, get them if you want them but it's not a big difference except in bass response if it's a 701 or 702 you've got.

Am I right in thinking that, for you, right now, they would cost about the same?

 

Because then I'd personally go for the Sennheisers. Their comfort is really better

and they won't depreciate in value, especially not below this great deal.

 

But this one is up to you. Do you care about products being new?

Maybe there's some place you can try the 600's. Do you like the sound, feel?
