PC takes too long to connect to my switch and internet... *help*

Hi

I have recently (yesterday) build myself a new PC. I still have my old PC. If i connect my old PC with the same cable to my switch (which is connected to my modem) then my PC connect almost instantly. If I connect my new PC with the same cable, it takes about 2-3 minutes. There are two more computers connected to the same switch and bot connect instantly.

I have installed the drivers that come with the motherboard.

What should I do?

Specs:

i5 4690K

ASRock H97 Pro4

Corsair Vengance 8GB (2x4GB)

Corsair PSU 650W

GTX970

Please be specific.

Is the internet computer icon showing hazard symbol while connecting?

Set local IP for each computer and try again.

Ok, when you say you installed the drivers that came with the motherboard, did you mean you installed them off the included disk? Or off the website?  Also what version of windows are you running?

Set local IP for each computer and try again.

The icon shows a monitor with a red cross... then after a while it shows a monitor with a yellow triangle for like two seconds and then it connects. I believe the IP is not the problem as this occurs even if i disconnect other devices. Besides, I checked to see if there are two of the same IPs and it shows completely different IPs.

I installed the of the disc. I belive it was something like LAN drivers and such. I will take a screenshot and post it ASAP.

I'm running Win7 Ultimate.

I have installed everything but the Google Toolbar, Rapid Storage Tech Driver and Utility, Intel Smart connect Soft. and ASRock APP charger.

In utilities bar, I have not installed anything.

Ok here's the thing, normally when you install drivers, always get it off the manufactures website. Those are always the most current. Here is the link for your board, and all the drivers that should be installed: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H97%20Pro4/?cat=Download&os=Win764 . Try installing the LAN driver first, and let me know if you are still having the slow connection issue. Also, to warn you. When installing intel management engine, make sure you follow the instructions on the website. This is what it states: *For Windows 7 (32 / 64 bit) OS, please install Windows Update KB2685811 before installing Intel ME driver.  Let me know if you have any other issues.

I installed the LAN driver with no improvements. I will try to install other drivers as well.

Try using a different ethernet cable.

I had this problem with my old Computer. Never bothered to fix it even though I'm sure it was my BIOS and Drivers. On my new PC when I boot it takes about 5-10 sec max to connect. Pretty sure its your drivers or BIOS. Did you update your BIOS and drivers from manufactures website?
