RAT 7 Mouse Problems

12860682321

My mouse is about 4 years old and it starting to have some problems. The biggest one is when I move my mouse very quickly from side to side in equal amounts and the mouse cursor eventually stick onto one side of the screen; when I tried to move my cursor back to the center of the screen it the cursor sticks back to the side of the monitor. Another problem I have with my mouse is disconnection, but this happens periodically and can be easily fixed by replugging the usb port. I have tried cleaning the sensor using alcohol and a Q-tip and this didn't fix the main problem. Any advice?

Are you using windows 8?

Because I heard from people that the mouse sometimes sticks to the edge of the screen, and that its a windows 8 bug.

Don't buy MadCatz stuff in the future? They're notoriously crap, every product of theirs.

Sadly, there's just nothing as customizable as one of those RATs.... sadness.

In all seriousness, your mouse sensor sounds effe-d up and it is time for a new mouse.

I've only had the mouse disconnection problem (that only happens about once every couple of months)

The sensor itself is rather crap, mine can sometimes get stuck, sometimes it won't detect an x or y axis movement. -> it doesn't happen too often though.

That being said, I can't live without the thumb scroll so that's why I haven't chosen a different mouse.

I didn't buy the mouse, it was orginally from my older brother who gave it me as he bought a Razer Naga Epic. Saved me $70 on buying my own mice.

Found the problem, apperently the RAT 7 sensor doesn't really like my soft black mouse pad and I did some expariment using a white piece of paper on top of my mouse pad and it works really well. So far I don't have any problems with my mouse sensor yet.

Ahhh I remember reading about that problem.

I got a XL corsair mouse pad and it works pretty well.

I never used to use a mouse pad with my previous mouse (logitech g9)
