Gaming laptop

xTweek

Looking for a good gaming laptop to play cs:go, archeage and vindictus, I will need a laptop because I'm always away from home in camp and hotels working in the oilfields which I obviously can't carry around a full tower haha. My budget is $1600 but can budge a bit more if performance is noticeable. Been looking at asus g75 series any suggestions? Thanks

Thanks for the replys, I understand that the laptop CPUs are not as powerful as desktops Is an i7 mobile CPU required for maintable frames on more processor heavy games? Also is a 970m overkill? Appreciate all the feedback I'm new to the laptop tech

Just get something with a good integrated graphics chip like the Iris Pro.

My advice: get a 15inch MacBook Pro, you get the power you need and the portabililty. (8h battery ftw.)

If you dont like it you can sell it for almost the same price.

My PC: Intel Core i3-3220 | Alpenföhn Civetta | XFX HD 7770 1GB | ASRock B75-Pro3-M | Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB | beQuiet PurePower L8 430W | Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB | Kingston V200+ 60GB | NZXT Vulcan | Soundblaster Play Replaced by Notebook + eGPU

My Notebook:   Apple MacBook Pro Retina 13-inch, Late 2013; Core i5 4258U @2.4-2.9 Ghz, 8GB RAM, 256GB PCIe SSD, Iris Graphics 5100 + GTX 960 eGPU

My Phone: OnePlus One with CM12      Camera: Nikon D3200 + 50mm f/1.8G + Kit lenses

I'm not sure why he would NEVER buy a MacBook Pro; but as a user of one and as awesome as they are, I can't see why anyone would ever buy one if they were looking to buy a gaming laptop.

Lenovo Y50 is good! Get an UHD version of it! coz FHD version display is not good.

Y50 has GTX 860M, 4710HQ quad core processor, 8 gigs of RAM which is enough for CS:GO.

Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz - Intel Stock Cooler - Zotac Geforce GT 610 2GB Synergy Edition

Intel DH61WW - Corsair® Value Select 4GBx1 DDR3 1600 MHz - Antec BP-300P PSU

WD Green 1TB - Seagate 2.5" HDD 1TB - Seagate Barracuda 500GB - Antec X1 E.
