I were in the same situation a few months ago and I went with One M8 and I don't regret my choice whatsoever. Fantastic phone apart from the camera which I personally don't use as much so I don't mind.

If I were you I would get the Moto X (2014). Also I own the Moto X 2nd gen so I will tell you that it is amazing. But out of these two I'd get the M8.

HTC One M8, if you don't mind the slightly worse camera. Everything else about it though I'd take over the G3.

Laptop: Toshiba Satellite L40D, AMD A6-6310, 6GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Radeon R4 Graphics, 14" 1366x768

Phone: iPhone 6 Space Gray 64GB, T-Mobile $60/mo 3GB plan

M9 comes out in march but M8 for sure the G3 screen sucks though the camera is one of the best

G3 screen most certainly does not suck.  Granted it isn't the best, but it is far from sucking.

Either of these phones will give you great user experience.

Mine seems just like any other ips display in terms of color accuracy.

I'd go with the g3. It's screen isn't as nice in the color department compared to the one m8 but it's super sharp and great. Plus the M8's screen felt small to me. 5 inches is certainly big but there is so much around it that it just doesn't feel as big as it actually is. G3 is just a no compromise phone really. It's pretty solid in all departments. so ya I'd say G3

I would say M8 for the high build quality, the fast OS, the best speakers on a phone, and better colors. I would say it outclasses the G3 in almost every way besides bezel size, less slippery material, and camera.
