R9 270 Non-Reference Cards

Guest AakashKcX

What R9 270 non-reference card should i choose?

I'm on a tight budget, so price is one of my main priorities.

XFX DD - £100

MSI Twin Frozr - £120

Asus DirectCU - £120

Gigabyte Windforce (2 Fans) - £120

If you say XFX, then if the price for a MSI, Asus or Gigabyte card goes down to just £110. Should i get it or just stay with the XFX one?

Also, how good are the powercolor cards (in comparison to the ones i stated above)?

if you are on a tight budget XFX would make your budget hopefully. if not spare 20 and go for MSI

take the cheap one, not worth it to pay more, you could upgrade the model instead of spending it for a different boardpartner design.

I can only comment on the MSI. Dead silent and that is great value to me.

Can't say anything about the other 270s. Though I assume all are pretty quiet since it doesn't put out too much heat.

my experience with power color is hit and miss for quality. Their coolers are good, although they will cut corners. also, the brand is as old as the hills so they aren't new to graphic cards.

I would just grab the XFX. if the price were to drop on the MSI, that would be a good choice.

Get the cheapest one. They're all R9 270s, and the card doesn't put out enough heat for a slightly better cooler to matter. If you can spend more, go for a better card (like an R9 280), not a "better" version of the exact same card.
