Best Budget MX Brown Keyboard

Spewky

Hi,

I originally planned to get the Ducky Shine 3 which I believe is amazing with it's lighting, keys, everything in my opinion but the price... It's around $120 which is a bit expensive which I don't think I can squeeze into my build. I've found a keyboard which was the CM Storm QuickFire Rapid which I think is good but... I sort of want some backlighting and the "i" version of it has sort of poop backlighting in my opinion.

So... what I'm looking for is a keyboard with...

  • Cherry MX Brown switches
  • Backlighting (Blue or Red preferably)
  • Decent Price (80-100 USD)
  • Good keys, no weird convex keys.
  • Customisable backlighting (Individual and can have 3-5 settings like the Shine 3 and CM Quickfire
  • Preferably a keyboard with a "reactive setting"
  • NKRO
  • Gaming Mode (That's a big one!)

If you have any keyboards that fit most or all of this, please link me to it and state what's good and bad about it.

Thanks!

@Paralectic, is there a reactive mode type or not? The CM Storm Quickfire Rapid i or whatever has the reactive.. :(

Also no individual custom lighting thing like the Rapid "i"?

No individual key and path lightning no, sadly. but it's a great board for it's price.

I'd get the Rapid i if I were you.

Without the backlighting? What's the price difference between them?

I've found a keyboard called the Rosewill Apollo, could you take a look at that and see if it's worth me getting? It's 80 USD.

That one is similar to the Quickfire Ultimate, both red leds and similar price too.

I think it's quite different from the Quickfire Ultimate. Though it would be nice if it had customisable lighting and profiles... I may go with it though as newegg has it for around 85 USD.

Hmmm, seems good. Customisable backlighting? Oddly shaped in my opinion :P
