Weird FX 8350 temps at idle

I find this strange, my CPU will be at idle (no games running) at the temps are jumping all over the place from 19°C to 30° is there something wrong with my CPU? I´m using the stock heatsink, and I´ve noticed that the temperature will be at 30°C then it will star to go dow until it reaches 16-19° and then it will jump to 30-32°C, is this normal? I´m using HWMonitor to see the temps, thanks.

It's fine, AMD has terrible sensors on their CPUs.

"Idle" temps will fluctuate significantly between ~15-30 because the CPU turns cores on/off repeatedly every second or so to reduce power usage.  

I've seen mine get as low as 12 degrees.

Ok, now I think theres something wrong, I am checking my temps and there are at 50-75°C AT IDLE, WTF IS HAPPENING?

Can you check in Task Manager how much your CPU is used? Maybe there is something very demanding running in the background. And btw, my FX-6300 lowest temperature is at idle 41°C :)

cpu can never be cooler then ambient, unless you use something like nitro oxygen.

 

For amd temp reading, just check the socket temp.
