Got a little bored, had a T3, took some pictures.

As the title describes, I got bored while in the posession of a Canon Rebel T3 with the stock 18-55mm lens. I had never used a DSLR before, so I thought I would give it a shot. The final results are these 22 images, though I did some touch-ups in Photoshop (mainly removing dust particles and the random crumb I missed on the table) I have also been told that the images are very yellow looking. Of course, this is because of a lack of natural lighting. I wish I could get LED bulbs in my living room

And to be honest, it's all about interest. Prior to this, I was never incredibly interested in photography, but now I am really fond of it.

Real nice, man! The yellow look is likely a result of your white balance being a little off. This can be pretty well corrected in Photoshop, but it won't look as good as having it set in the correct camera. Try holding a piece of white paper up in front of the lens and then setting the WB. As for LEDs, they're really nice because they don't get hot, but instead of spending money on LED panels, pick up some basic clamping work lights from Home Depot along with some different bulbs. Between those work lights and a proper white balance, you can make some really nice photos. Those work lights (and an internet tutorial on basic three point lighting) taught me how to light from the ground up. Also, those blue lights look pretty cool in the background, especially in contrast to the warmer overall feel of the pictures. If you like that look, you should pick up some faster lenses. Canon's 50mm F1.2L is one of the nicest lenses I've used. That lens is expensive, and something to stretch for in the future, but its one of those things you buy once and it lasts your whole life (assuming you take care of it). Really solid piece of glass. A lens like that will pull the full potential out of the T3. The T3 might be an inexpensive body, but its all about the glass you put in front of it. If I were you, I would try to save up for one of those, or any other Canon L series lens. Like I said, they cost a lot, but they'll be good forever! Best of luck with your photography!
