50/50 On Buying Dragon Age

I'm very intrigued with this game... I haven't really played much RPG's but this game makes me want to. I played Skyrim but i was late, so that made me stop playing for some reason.

I really want to find a game that has so much playing time. I've heard it's 90+ hours. Considering I haven't played the previous titles, could I get into this one?

It's only £37. Is this anyone else's first time playing Dragon Age? Did you get into it?

Thanks guys!

A warning if you do buy it, don't spend 50 hours in the Hinterlands, unless you want to fully complete the game...

I assume you're referring to Inquisition.  If so then I would definitely recommend it.  My friend put in 80+ hours and finally finished it earlier today, even though there is still a TON of side content left.

I am. I have been hearing a lot of them comments. I'm definitely swaying towards getting it.

Whenever someone asks whether or not they would buy Dragon Age: Inquisition, I ask myself: Do they need to listen to a song to be fully convinced?

Also please keep a friendly tone at all times. Have a good day/night.

I tried a timed (one hour I think) PS+ demo of Dragon Age 2.   That's all I ever played of the series until yesterday.

I bought the Deluxe version of Inquisition.   It's really cool.  I've never played any RPGs before, so it's really difficult for me to figure out, but I wouldn't attribute that to the game (my son is able to figure it out as he goes) but instead my old, dumb brain that has been conditioned with other genres of games.  There's just so much customization of characters and abilities... and menus... and places to go.. things to keep track of.  I'll get it eventually.

I'm over 6 hours of play time into it, but it doesn't feel that way at all.   6 hours would have been about half of Max Payne 3 that I beat last week, but I can tell just from the presentation of quests and collectibles that I'm no where even close to half way through.  I'm playing on the easiest level because I want to play it for a long time (as lose to 100% as I can muster) and I just figure that playing easy at first will give me a better change of learning it.  I'll probably 'up' the difficulty later on.

If you get it, I think you'd like it, too.

That's a very good answer! Thanks for the detail and opinions. I've decided to get it.

I've played 80+ hours on it and completed the main quest and most of the side quests, I have also played the first two, if you have not played the first two, the backstory and lore may be a bit much, if you try the first two, expect to put in about 50+ hours on both, there are those who dislike DA2, but whilst it is flawed, I enjoyed it and seeing how it effected DAI was nice, both games are worth playing at least once, I have played Origins 3 times, 2 twice, And Inquisition once and thoroughly enjoyed the series.
