Aerocool X-Predator side panel?

Jester196

Hey guys. Was wondering if anyone would know we're I can get a custom side panel for the aerocool xpredator. I love the case but the cut-outs for the fans on the side are ugly and I want to just have a normal window were I can see the inside of the case with no problem.

And if anyone thinks this would be a bad idea as it will be bad for my systems cooling, and that I should just put the fans, please tell me because I don't want to damage my components.

Here's a pic of the side panel. :D

you could probably make on yourself just get some plexi from your local hardware store like home depot should be pretty easy, and provided you still have other fans such as in the front and whatnot then you shouldnt need to worry about airflow at all :)

About the airflow, you have a 200m intake fan at the front right and a 200m exhaust fan at the top? You could change the rear fan into an intake if you want to change pressure. Obviously your temperatures would be higher without the extra 200m fan, but you wouldn't "damage" your components.

Just cut a piece of clear acrylic (plexi) to the same shape but about 20mm larger all round the edges, push the window out, put some rubber u-channel on the edge and then stick the clear acrylic to the inside of the case with double sided tape (some of that 3m super strong mounting stuff). check out mnpctech i think he has a guide for this.

People make it seem like everyone can make their own side panels. Not everyone has the tools, my parents are pushing themselves and after a year and could finally make a pc. God knows what they would think if i asked for plexi glass.

-SNIP-

I'd recommend to silicone it in place if you want a zero clearance where there is no gap between the plexi and the panel compared to double stick tape.

what are the screws i need if i want to stick it outside of the panel?

Are you suggesting to install it on the outside?

I guess you could but the inside would look a lot cleaner.

i saw a guy on youtube put it outside, ge did a great job, he dont need any new scews at all, he just use old scews that came in with the case which hold the acrylic
